GUYKU Meditation Rocks are sculptural bodies for rest, stillness and contemplation. Conceived entirely in solid American walnut, they bring the permanence and weight of rock into dialogue with the warmth and grain of wood. Each work is composed of one to four elements, and places to sit emerge in the intervals between the volumes. Taking its name and its restraint from haiku, the series uses mass, asymmetry and empty space to hold a quiet balance between movement and stillness. What first reads as a sofa or an armchair is really a rock to inhabit: an intimate landscape where body and object meet.

Each rock is shaped in soft, continuous curves that meet the body and invite it to rest. The forms are conceived in dialogue with one another, a three-dimensional play of one against the next, so that a single element can stand alone or two, three, even four can gather into a composition. Arranged together in a living room, they shift with the hours: a sculptural presence through the day that, at a chosen moment, becomes a meditation space the body can inhabit. Each rock can be customized in dialogue with architects and collectors, shaped to a specific space and project.
