In GUYKU MEDITATION WOOD ROCKS, Gal Gaon approaches furniture as a composition of sculptural bodies, creating an intimate landscape for human presence. Conceived entirely in solid American walnut, the collection of armchairs, sofas, and coffee tables brings the permanence and weight of rock into dialogue with the warmth and grain of wood. Each work is composed of one, two, three, or four elements - a restrained vocabulary inspired by the economy of haiku, where mass, asymmetry, and empty space create a quiet balance between movement and stillness.

Individually customized and realized as unique pieces, the works unite sculptural presence with everyday use. Seats emerge within the intervals between volumes, while coffee tables extend the same language through broad planes, curves, and offset masses.

 

GUYKU MEDITATION WOOD ROCKS proposes furniture as an intimate form of landscape - where wood and rock, object and body, weight and stillness coexist in a meditative equilibrium.
